Organizations that are active NAEIR members receive
catalogs and request form booklets as they are published (around every ten
weeks). The members then fill out the request form listing the items and
quantities that they want and need for their organizations. The requests are
submitted to NAEIR where they are keyed into our computer system. The distribution of NAEIR products through our catalogs is unique. A computerized allocation system is used so that the merchandise is distributed in a fair, equitable manner. Whether you are a large school district having an enrollment of thousands of students or a small nonprofit organization, the opportunity to receive the merchandise available is the same. While you will not receive everything that you have requested,
if you provide a varied request with ample lines, you should receive a substantial allocation. Currently, NAEIR members who actively participate in the
program receive an average of around $3,600 worth of merchandise per catalog.
After your allocation is processed, it is picked, packed and made ready to  ship to your organization or for your organization to pick up at our Galesburg, Illinois facility. On your request form, you will be asked to specify if you want your merchandise shipped
or if you wish to pick up. The
majority of the materials shipped are through FedEx.
If you are picking up your allocation, you will receive a letter informing you that the merchandise has been processed and is ready for you to pick up. Included with the letter will be a packing list so that you can determine the size of vehicle you will need to pick up your merchandise.
NAEIR E-xpress-
One of the most convenient ways to request free supplies and merchandise is through our online requesting site. As a member you can request products online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Everything online is unique, premium merchandise you won't find in the catalog. All you pay is shipping and handling.
Special Offers-
Another opportunity for merchandise is through our Special Offers program. Each month, NAEIR members receive a flyer featuring a kit of related merchandise or an individual item. The value of the merchandise offered through Special flyers varies from $200 to over $500. There are no pick ups allowed for merchandise received through Special Offers.
Pick up Only Merchandise-
Within the catalog is a small
section, normally not more that ten pages, of pick up only
items. This section contains limited quantity, bulky merchandise. As
with the 'regular' catalog merchandise, a request form is filled out and submitted with the product being processed for distribution through an
allocation system.
Grab Bag-
In
addition to distributing merchandise through the catalog, NAEIR also has a
Grab Bag facility located at the Galesburg warehouse.
The Grab Bag is a section of the warehouse about the size of a football
field that is filled with items in too small of a quantity to offer in
the catalog. NAEIR members are eligible to go through the Grab Bag area
and take as much as they can fit on a warehouse cart. Two members per
membership are allowed in the Grab Bag area; and there is a two hour
time limit.
